Have you gotten all the science learning in this year? If not, Science Weekly may be the way to go. Science Weekly is a colorful bi-monthly newsletter designed to spark an interest in science in your kindergarten – 6th grade kids with hands on experiments. Each interactive newsletter incorporates math, vocabulary, writing, and critical reasoning concepts in the areas of life science, earth science, physical science, and technology.
Science Weekly is not meant to be the main science curriculum, however, it makes a great supplement. Science Weekly is available for 19.95 per year, per child at the individual rate. You could get the classroom rate of $4.95 per year, per child if you can muster up 19 more friends.
So what do you get for this price? You will receive 15 issues with teachers notes from September to April. This year's topics include:
- Pulleys
- Cats
- The Flu
- Glass
- Fractions
- Composting
- The Science of the Movies
- The Science of Money
- Scuba Diving
- Poisonous Animals
- Caves
- Teeth
- Deserts
- Green Buildings
- The Moon
Unfortunately, we never got the chance to use this program in our homeschool. We never received the package of materials even though our name was on the list and attempts to find out where the package was. Definitely our loss, because my girls love science!
