Isn’t it great when you find something that makes learning fun for your kids?  GoGo Kabongo is a fun, colorful website devoted to helping kids with pre-reading skills through play. homeweb
GoGo Kabongo is geared towards kids aged 4 to 7 years old, so Montana was able to try this game out.  Their mission statement states, “To challenge kids to become better thinkers, inspiring self-confidence through the joy of play.”  Kids start out by creating their own avatar in the Treehouse with colorful characters, Duffy and Mimi as your guide.

The first habitat - Laughter Lake - is free, and if you hurry you can get access to Galaxy Gardens for free too!  Additional habitats are $4.95 each - with no  subscription fees. Each of the three habitats has 3 games with six levels of play to each game.

Your child will learn by doing:
  • big-small
  • patterns
  • listening/reading comprehension
  • colors
  • visual discrimination
  • puzzle solving
  • letter discrimination
  • sound discrimination
  • shapes
  • spatial awareness
Montana was attracted to playing this online gaming world immediately. Her favorite part was designing her own avatar, over, and over again. While online learning would not be my first choice, GoGo Kabongo does make learning fun so we give this game site a thumbs up.
